    1. BRILLIANT!! I love this gritty series, especially with the inclusion of the Krays and Richardsons - made it so real.Next please!

    2. I enjoyed this a lot more than Trust Nobody, which was the first book in this Daisy Lane series. I said in my review of book #1 that I didn't know where the series would go. However I was gripped from the first few pages and thought the storyline for this book was fantastic. Gangland books are usually just the same stories told with different characters but I found this one to be a bit different than the typical Heller or Cole yarn. Also there were frequent appearances from the Kray twins which [...]

    3. good read enjoyed it even though it is not the first in the daisy lane series never a dull moment with daisy x

    4. Loved this whole series!I enjoyed how it was similar in a sense to Martina Cole's stories without trying to imitate her style!

    5. BROKEN BODIES is a follow-up to the author's first book TRUST NOBODY so many of the characters and their back story come from that first novel. Perhaps this is part of the reason why BROKEN BODIES was a bit of a slog to read, as many characters appear rapidly in quick succession in the early part of the book, talking the patois of the English gangster, talking about each other - dead or alive, it wasn't always easy to distinguish - as if the reader was acutely aware of who everyone was and what [...]

    6. can a woman play a gangster at his own game and win? daisy was married to kenneth but fell in lone with his brother eddie. both were gangsters and eddie crossed the wrong person and was killed daisy fled to greece where she raised her son but is now back in gosport to get revenge on the man who killed him, roy kemp h/e there have been the killings of 2 badly abused boys and also prostitutes. could he be behind this ? the scam she plans is pulled off with the help of her friends bri and vera. but [...]

    7. Broken Bodies, by June Hampson, B. Narrated by Annie Aldington, produced by Isis Audio, downloaded from audible.Daisy Lane is a woman that we’re supposed to believe has a heart of gold and always wants to help others. This despite the fact that she is the widow of one man, had the second brother as a lover until hismurder, and is now using the third brother to try to get back at Roy Kemp, the gangster who killed her Eddy. She succeeds in setting up a scam against Roy, but by then has fallen in [...]

    8. I picked this book up in a charity shop some time ago and completely forgot about it. Not realizing there was a book before it I read it and soon discovered it was part of a series but unlike most series I managed to read and enjoy this book as a single book. It really is a great little book full of mystery's and little quirky bits that really make you think. It is really well written and I would love to be able to write like June Hampson one day, not only for her incredible plots but also her w [...]

    9. After reading this book a few years ago, I picked it up the Daisy Lane series again. I loved the first book in the series and was not disappointed in Broken Bodies. Picking up from book 1 Trust Nobody, Hampson jumps right in telling the story; filling in back story as the tale unfolds. Shocking, violent, rough, sad, gangsters, grudges, friendship, love and forgiveness all wrapped up in one book. I would definitely recommend Broken Bodies and can't wait to start book 3 Damaged Goods.

    10. I read this before reading the first book of the series and loved it so much I've now read the first and halfway through the third. I love this style of writing and love that I didn't necessarily have to read any other book in the series as it stands alone enough, but a few little things fall into place after reading trust nobody.

    11. Continuation from Trust Nobody. Found this one good, but a bit gratuitous in violence . Came away feeling I did not want to read any further novels in series.

    12. dont usually like series books ,but I cant stop myself from needing to know what happens next to our Daisy.
