    1. It took 6 hours for me to read the fourth installment of the Portal Prophecies. It was that good. The best in the series so far. Much more mystery and intrigue I was devastated that i finished it, I wanted it to be much longer. It was that good. Sleeping sands was every thing I look for in a great book! I can not wait for the next book.

    2. Sleeping Sands had a Harry Potter feel to it not the latter, darker editions of the series, but the earlier installments, where the characters were younger and the tone wasn't quite so doom-and-gloom.Make no mistake: the stakes are high in Sleeping Sands, the fourth installment of C.A. King's Portal Prophecies series. Willow is separated from her friends -- who might not be her friends -- and she finds herself with a new group of friends -- who, again, might not be her friends.Or maybe they are. [...]

    3. Portal Prophecies -- Sleeping SandsBy C. A. King Another amazing five star read. C. A. King is indeed a master of adventure. Sleeping Sands is the Third in the Portal Prophecies series. What a great book. C. A. King writes this adventure with fresh originality every time. No disappointment in Sleeping Sands. Willow had made new friends in a new school, where she is mastering everything except her own fate. A fate which she is unfortunately not mastering at all. In fact, she is woefully out of co [...]

    4. 4 Stars“Willow sat quietly, watching her two best friends chatting with excitement. For them, heading to a school was something to look forward to, an adventure waiting to happen. For Willow, it was a disaster. Fighting to hold back her tears, she slouched down, pulling her covers up so they almost covered her nose - already feeling how alone she would be in the months to come. ”Sleeping Sands is the fourth book in The Portal Prophecies Series By C.A King. 6. Sleeping Sands is Book Four in The Portal Prophecies Series. None of the books are standalone as each book continues on from where the previous books finish. Each book is based on a different prophecy and the entire series, delves deep into the understanding of magic and self-discovery, all the while questioning the right versus wrong equation on personal levels.Readers will find some new explanations for old tales, myths, legends, folk lore and unusual phenomena that could just make you questio [...]

    8. The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands by C.A. King is the fourth book in the series. These are not standalone books but need to be read in order. 10. Sleeping Sands is the fourth book in C. A. King’s The Portal Prophecies series. I have really been enjoying this series so far and Sleeping Sands is yet another great read. It steps away from the holiday themes of the previous two books, A Halloween’s Curse and Frost Bitten. This came as a relief as, whilst I enjoyed those books and the clever ways King worked the festive traditions into her fantasy world, I was not ready for the Easter Bunny to be kidnapped by a race of sinister eggs.As Sle [...]

    11. With William still on death’s door Willow finds herself torn between having to leave for school and staying by his side. After packing and getting ready the gang all meet for final goodbyes before they go their separate ways to different schools, where they will have no contact with anyone. Just before they are ready to go a visitor turns up with unexpected news. They are all shocked at the news that Cassandrhea Tibbins brings. 13. Sleeping Sands is book four in the Portal Prophecies series by C.A.King. While sleeping may be in the title once you start reading sleeping is the last thing you will want to do. I found myself so enamored with this book that I reading the the early morning hours. King swept me away with this series. I love everything about it. In Sleeping Sands we find Willow away from all of her friends and very lonely, trying to hide who she is for the safety of everyone. However there is just something about [...]

    14. The fourth installment of the Portal Prophecies series honestly makes me love these books so much more. I cannot get enough! Anyone who likes Harry Potter will enjoy this series. Our main character, Willow, has been required to attend a school for magic but because of so much bad press concerning her, she must attend in disguise. She is isolated from everyone she knows and has never felt more alone and helpless. Development of abilities was so limited on her home world that Willow fears she will [...]

    15. The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands Book 4 of 6 in the Portal Prophecies series. This is not a stand - alone book and should be read in the correct order which is as follows: A Keeper’s Destiny, A Halloween’s Curse, Frost Bitten, Sleeping Sands, Deadly Perceptions and Finding BalanceIn Sleeping Sands we see more of the infrastructure of what is going on and how things are moving forward to keep people under the King’s thumb. 16. The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands is a five star novel by C. A. King. This is the fourth installment of the Portal Prophecies series. This series is so good, I recommend definitely starting from the beginning and reading all the way through. This series is geared toward the young adult crowd full of mystery and science fiction. I normally don't read science fiction but Ms. King really has a way of drawing the reader into her fantasy world and making it believable. Willow is a young girl who [...]

    19. The fourth book in the fabulous series of The Portal Prophecies is called Sleeping Sands. Spoiler Alert, if you haven't read the previous books!!This fourth book is a true testament to the will and strength that is Willow. 23. The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands By C.A. King **5 Stars**Sleeping Sands By C.A. King is the fourth book in The Portal Prophecies series. Sleeping Sands starts almost exactly were FrostBitten ended. I am finding that this book is my favorite book so far in the series. Each book has seemed to be better than the last! It seems that each book grows as well as Willow does. I also feel like each book has a theme. And in this book Willow feels isolated which leads to her having to find herself wit [...]

    24. The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands by C.A. KingFour StarsThe Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands if the fourth book in the Portal Prophecies Series by C.A. King. These books should be read in order because they follow Willow and her friends through the different Portal Prophecies and there is a highly defined backstory. 25. Sleeping Sands is the fourth book in the Portal Prophecies series and I found this to be the hardest one to read so far, not for how it was written but what it entails. I felt the loneliness radiating off the pages and my heart broke for Willow more than I was ready for. This book follows Willow as she attends school without any of her friends or allies. While she is tucked away, the evil she is always fighting is plotting the most deviant of plots yet and I’m not sure how she will survive. I [...]

    26. Book 4 in the Portal Prophecies series from C. A. King accomplishes something vital when it comes to the series and how connected and invested we feel in it. Willow is taken away from her allies for the majority of the book so we get a very big spotlight shone on how much she has grown, and what she is capable of, right when things are at their most dangerous. Trust becomes a major factor, even more so because Willow has to hide who she is. It could have been easy for this instalment to simply f [...]

    27. The Portal Prophecies: Sleeping Sands by C. A. KingWarning: DO NOT READ THIS STORY UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE FIRST THREE BOOKS. You will appreciate this warning because the characters keep evolving and you want to be there through all the changing. In this story, Willow is separated from her friends. Just like any other women who are going, she is leaning w [...]

    28. I'm still loving this series and the way the characters interact and develop, but I have to admit that Willow got whiny enough in this one to be a little annoying. Of course, in her situation, I suspect we'd all be having a bit of a pity party! This author is definitely on a roll, and I have no hesitation in recommending this book and the rest of the series.

    29. Great Adventure Story! I was a little lost at first. There was a large cast and I couldn't quite remember who all these people wer. But then I got into it and it was a great adventure story. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. Lots of interesting ideas.
